Meet Your Average Betty
Her real name may be Sara O’Donnell, but you can call her Betty, and she can call you Al. Okay, so the name Average Betty didn’t actually come from a Paul Simon song, it’s actually a sort of slang for gal. According to Sara, in Southern California a “Betty” is kind of like a “Joe.” And since she’s more gal next door than cooking diva, Average Betty just made sense.
Yet, the word “average” doesn’t quite do the show justice. “Inspirational Betty” might come off a little too cocky, but you can’t help getting a little inspired by Sara. It’s not just about teaching you delicious recipes, it’s a celebration of food and the people who create it. Appreciation is her dish of choice.
So sidle up to Average Betty in this episode of Meet & Eat, as she cooks up burritos and spreads her gospel exploration. With her interest in music, food, art and the world it probably won’t come as a surprise she’s also an artist. But don’t let her worldview intimidate you, she’s just an Average Betty who loves sharing with the community of YouTube! Inspiration tends to be reciprocal, after all.
